Heartburn and Dyspepsia Relief
Ingredients in Gastro Aid have been shown or traditionally used:
- For treatment of indigestion, heartburn and reflux and to soothe mucous membranes: Liquorice has been traditionally used for its demulcent activity in Western herbal medicine. Liquorice may help to heal damaged gut mucosa by increasing local concentrations of prostaglandins that promote mucus production and cell proliferation in the stomach
- To relieve symptoms of non-specific dyspepsia.
- To aid digestion and support gastric motility and bile production: Multiple ingredients in Gastro Aid support digestion, including improving gastric motility and bile production. Turmeric has been shown in in vitro and in vivo trials, to suppress gastric acid production and reduce gastric acid-induced damage via the inhibition of histamine 2 receptors
