Known drug interactions: Avoid with warfarin (Coumadin, Marevan). Ginkgo may increase pro-thrombin time & international normalised ration (INR) values. Patients should be monitored for prothrombin & INR values.Use with caution: antiplatelet medications including Asprin (including Aspro, Solprin, Astrix, Cartia). Co-prescription may increase bruising & bleeding.Avoid with sodium valproate (Epilim, Valero). Ginkgo has been shown to reduce the effects of sodium valproate in mice. Ginkgo may potentiate the effect of haloperidol (Serenace). Use with caution.
