A daily dose of 150 micrograms for adults of selenium from dietary supplements should not be exceeded. Not recommended for use by pregnant and lactating women. If symptoms persist, talk to your health care practitioner.Precautions and contraindicationsHigh dose vitamin C supplements in excess of 500 mg daily, should be used with caution in patients with a history of kidney stones due to concerns that vitamin C may theoretically increase oxalate excretion.Vitamin C enhances iron absorption. Caution is advised with high dose vitamin C intake in individuals with iron metabolism disorders such as hereditary haemochromatosis, sideroblastic anaemia or thalassaemia.Adverse effectsThe ingredients in this product are generally well-tolerated.Some ingredients such as garlic, alpha-lipoic acid, vitamin C and zinc have been associated with mild gastrointestinal adverse effects. These may include abdominal cramps, bloating, loose stools, flatulence, dyspepsia, nausea and vomiting.Pregnancy and lactation Use of this product during pregnancy and lactation is not recommended.
